for whatever stupid reason, Comcast is blocking here with their xfi security garbage thing...

they have a report page to mark sites for unblocking, and apparently it takes a fair few requests to get through
https://spa.xfinity.com/report
huh, thanks for pointing this out. does it say specifically what the reason for blocking is?
>>203
nope
it just brings up the generic "this site could be risky" message (that you need to disable HTTPS to see because comcast is redirecting you away from a secure site and browsers naturally hate that)

it has been very annoying lately, I've seen it across more sites in the last month than I have in ages
I tried connecting to this website on work wifi one time, and the wifi flagged the site as malware and wouldn't let me connect, if that means anything.

>>202 (OP)
BitDefender also gives me a fat warning page whenever I visit the website on my laptop. My guess is that this site was auto-included on a suspicious activity list for whatever reason (Maybe the CSAM spam was detected? No clue)
>>206
>>207
damn, that's unfortunate :(
I wonder how that ended up happening
unfortunately, we're still on the list...
out of all the boards I go to, the fact that this one is blocked by Comcast for "security" is baffling

cane across this when visiting my parents house. did we really get randomly flagged or did marzimin not update the SSL certificate in a while?
>>247
the SSL cert should be auto-renewing; I haven't seen any issues with it so far. I touched things a bit when moving stuff around a couple weeks ago, but hmm... I'll keep an eye out and maybe check the logs when I have a moment - let me know if it happens again

as for comcast, I'm sorry they're still giving you trouble. no idea how we got flagged, but if you have the time and haven't already, please file a report at the link in OP so we can get the site unblocked (>人<;)

*came

edit option when...
>>248
oh shit hello. yeah ill do that
>>247
that's what it would look like if Comcast stopped it
apparently marzichan is also on bitdefender's blocklist, for "malware", and avira's (not sure I can see the reason without installing their junk) (´・ω・`)

I don't think the domain has any registration history before I claimed it, so I have no clue how we got flagged for malware
>>252
when i get time, ill send a report for BitDefender since i was the one that encountered it. do you think this issue will persist when the marzichan 2 launches?
>>253
thanks! hopefully we don't get hit with spam right before they check, and then get downgraded to an even worse rating (^^;)
>do you think this issue will persist when the marzichan 2 launches?
I imagine it'll make no difference, yeah. it's tied to the domain name and I'm guessing there are no automatic processes for re-checking blocked domains, so even if I serve a completely different site, it'll remain blocked on their end until they change it.

if this is an issue with your home network, you could always change your pc config (assuming the router they provide doesn't let you change its DNS servers) to use non-xfinity DNS servers, like 1.1.1.1 or 8.8.8.8
>>254
I actually use 8.8.8.8 (and the corresponding ipv6 address) for my DNS and it seems to not do anything.

if we had another domain, even if like, a third level domain since buying two domains for one site seems incredibly silly, I suspect that would get around it
>>255
>it seems to not do anything.
huh, my bad, I had assumed it was done at the DNS level. is there really no way to disable the feature on your own home network? either way, that sucks
>if we had another domain, even if like, a third level domain
hmm, good idea. maybe when the site overhaul is done I'll add one (hopefully without much trouble), and we can see if it helps for affected users. thanks for the idea!
>>255
figured there was no reason to wait for the overhaul since this was an easy thing to do, so I've added a new third-level domain just for this purpose, https://alt.marzichan.org
please let me know if it works for you next time you have the chance :)

I identified myself as the website administrator in my request, but this is all I got back. I wonder if human eyes even passed over it.
